Introduction 

 The fire that was born in the heart of Marie Poussepin urges us to go beyond the borders to become a true sign of charity in today’s world which is void of true love (Cf 55th general chapter). Ranchi community is called to go beyond the borders which fall under the archdiocese of Ranchi. The community of Ranchi came into existence on the 19th of June 2006. 

Physiognomy

Jharkhand is originally a tribal land with the major parts covered by dense forest area. In 2000 it got bifurcated from Bihar State. Ranchi is the capital of Jharkhand endowed with natural attraction and known as “City of Waterfall”. Though it highly blessed with natural resources, the natives don’t enjoy the fruit of it due to selfishness and self-interest of the upper class backed by the political parties.

Have life in fullness for oneself and for others by knowing and announcing Jesus Christ 

Mission

• We take great care in the formation of aspirants giving stress on their human, academic and spiritual aspects.
• Through Marie Poussepin’s Girls Home we give life to one of the most vulnerable sections of the society namely prisoners and their families.
• One sister is fully involved in the Jharkhand Prison Ministry Unit.
• We mold the young ones through education ministry.
• Pastoral ministry by way of decorating the altar, participating in the choir, involvement with associations etc.
