Wayanad Community: with the invitation of Bp. Jose Porunnedam, the bishop of
Mananthavadi, a new community in the Province, is established on 14th
August 2023. The community belongs to St.Joseph parish, Neikuppa, established and administered by the
Pallottines (SOCIETY OF THE CATHOLIC
APOSTOLATE). Neikuppa is 20 km away from Mananthavadi as well as from
Bathery which is the nearest town. 118
families are in this parish and has got 6 BCC (Basic Christian Communities)
units. The parish has different pious associations and regular catechism
classes. Sisters are involved in the pastoral ministry.
